Awarded the Writer’s Residency Award by NAMT for my new show “Kusama”

Yuriko and Andrew were awarded the Writer’s Residency Award by NAMT (National Alliance of Musical Theatre) to proceed with the table read of our new show “Kusama” (later June)!

Kusama is a bold and evocative song cycle inspired by the life and work of Yayoi Kusama. Writing about her beautiful, powerful artwork has been an extraordinary joy for us. As an immigrant artist hustling in New York, Kusama’s journey deeply resonates with our own experiences.
